Begin, and Then Begin Again

┬áBeginner’s mind. The frame of thought, that no matter how experienced one is, or how often one practices, each time you come to your mat, each time you choose to show up, is the very first time.

Begin, and then begin again.

Follow your heart.

Chase your dreams.

Work hard.

Give it your all.

Create something new. Something from nothing.

Begin, and then begin again.

Let yourself be changed.

By beauty, by life.

By the presence of a new being.

Let yourself become, who you were meant to be.

Not chosen by mind, or thought, or college degree.

Let yourself become, who you already are.

Begin, and then begin again.

Allow dreams to fail.

Let the buildings and walls crash down around you.

Let your heart be broken, pieces scattered, left for you to mend.

Let the stitches be woven from the fabric of your new life.

Let the lives of others touch you.

Build new dreams.

Begin, and then begin again.

See daylight.

Crouch in shadows.

Emerge slowly… Head, no, heart…held high.

Step out not alone,

but with someone,

in your arms, standing beside you, holding onto your hand.

Begin, and then begin again.
